Armidale Education

Armidale boasts one of the highest ratios of schools and educational facilities in the state. A very wide range of educational options for children are available in the city with fifteen primary and secondary schools to choose from. Tertiary and adult education facilities are also excellent with the university, TAFE college and a number of specialist training services. Australia's oldest regional university was established in Armidale in 1938 and it's position in the area has fostered a large number of research centres and services at a regional, state wide and national level.
